Advanced Medical Transport (AMT) is the premier provider of emergency and scheduled ambulance services in Central and Western Illinois, as well as parts of Iowa. AMT is a private, not-for-profit organization operated for community benefit.

In the AMT/United Way 2-1-1 Call Center, you will be responsible for all incoming calls from community members in need. Our Call Specialist will work within a small team to connect community members with appropriate resources to aid with non-medical emergencies.

What you will do:

• Provide top notch customer service to community members
• Answer all inbound calls with professionalism and compassion
• Align callers' needs with available resources and make appropriate referrals
• Advocate for callers

What you will bring to the table:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• 1-3 years of prior customer service experience
• Education or career track in community outreach, non-profit management, or social services, preferred
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment
