About the Role
The Manager of Billing works directly with the Director of Billing Operations to oversee all billing, reconciliation, and collections for patient visits across Callen-Lorde. This role manages a growing team, develops and refines operational practices, ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and serves as a key resource for billing and insurance verification processes.
You’ll play a critical role in:
- Supervising and guiding staff to ensure accurate, timely third-party revenue collection, including insurance verification and Medicaid authorizations.
- Overseeing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations for billing staff.
- Maintaining the security, accuracy, and integrity of electronic and paper billing systems.
- Collaborating with providers, finance, patient access services, and payers to resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Driving quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with regular business hours (Monday - Friday). Occasional evenings may be required. Callen-Lorde's main site in Chelsea is open Monday through Saturday.
