We're looking for someone who knows that getting the order right is just the beginning.
This role is for a detail-oriented, solution-driven professional who understands the complexity of manufacturing timelines, steel specs, and customer expectations. You’ll be the first call when a client needs to know if we can still hit their ship date — and the person who already saw it coming.
We need someone who’s comfortable in a production-driven environment, fluent in SAP, and familiar with the language of gauges, grades, and lead times. You’re not just reading off a screen — you know what’s behind those numbers.
Â
What you'll be doing:
- Managing customer orders from quote through delivery — tracking changes, anticipating issues, and keeping everyone in the loop.
- Entering and updating orders in SAP with precision (and speed — we move fast).
- Working closely with the production floor, logistics, and purchasing to make sure we’re aligned and ready.
- Translating technical specs and material requirements into clear communication across internal teams.
- Owning the relationship — when something goes wrong, you’re already two steps ahead.
Â
You're a great fit if you:
- Have steel industry experience — whether it’s coil, plate, rebar, or tube, you know your metals.
- Are fluent in SAP, especially with order entry, availability checks, and tracking.
- Can juggle a high volume of orders without dropping the ball.
- Stay calm under pressure and can navigate production delays, spec changes, or logistics hiccups with professionalism.
- Know the difference between a good customer service rep and a great one — and you aim for the latter.
Â
What we offer:
- A voice at the table: This is a company that values input and ideas from the people on the ground.
- Solid pay, strong benefits, and a team that’s here to back you up.
- Opportunities to grow into operations, planning, or even technical sales — if that’s your thing.
Â
If you’ve worked in the trenches of manufacturing customer service, especially in steel, we’d love to talk. This isn’t just a desk job — it’s a key role that helps keep our operation running and our customers coming back.
