Summary: Conducts complete and objective administrative investigations of alleged employee misconduct, including allegations of criminal law violations, civil rights violations, or departmental policy violations. Manages and ensures compliance with state certification and CALEA accreditation.

- Conduct internal affairs investigations to ascertain facts and obtain evidence on alleged violations and misconduct.
- Interviews involved parties and obtains statements; Collects and reviews the evidence.
- Prepares comprehensive and detailed reports of investigations.
- Testifies in administrative hearings.
- Maintains a level of understanding and familiarity with the department's policies and procedures, county personnel policy, county ordinances, state laws, and case law sufficient to perform the assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Manages and ensures departmental compliance with GACP state certification and CALEA accreditation standards.
