SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Kitting and Receiving Attendant is maintaining the influx and outflow of the parts crib. The Attendant receives, stores, and issues material inventory etc. for the plant. This position also unloads and stores material in the proper locations and performs receiving transactions in a timely manner. This role issues material via kitting and material requests to plant wide personnel and accurately performs system transactions while communicating potential supply problems to supervisor and purchasing to minimize production impacts. A successful candidate is a self-motivated multi-tasker that utilizes a strong work ethic and communication skills to ensure all needs levels are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Regular and punctual attendance at work is an essential job function of each position and is necessary to your individual effectiveness and that of your work group. Regular and punctual attendance is required of all employees.

 

  • Issue material to plant wide personnel and accurately perform system transactions.
  • Dispense inventory parts and supplies to employees.
  • Review and receive purchase orders and follow up on status. May enter information into the computer system (Epicor).
  • Communicate potential supply problems to Manager or Supervisor and purchasing department.
  • Maintain shortage log and kitting schedule for issuing of certain production components.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6 months of previous material handling/forklift experience required.
  • Previous knowledge of inventory control.
  • Organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent forklift/material handling skills.
  • Basic math skills for verification of receipt quantities.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Standard safety training.
