POSITION SUMMARY:

The Bobcat Readiness Advisor serves as the first point of contact in matters regarding student financial services. This individual will support the business office and financial aid office by working closely with the staff and constituents while performing services to support an active, STUdent-centered environment.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide high quality customer service to prospective, new, and current students, as well as all staff, faculty, and the public.
  • Provides front line support, answers phone calls and emails to assist students with matters related to student financial services.
  • Oversight of all inbound and outbound communication through the financial aid and business office account, including responding to all incoming emails and outbound email communications to students including promotion of upcoming events, enrollment information, school policies, dates and deadlines, or other college announcements.
  • Recommends and directs students to appropriate campus resources including Academic Advising, Career Counseling, Disability Services, Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs, and other student support services as appropriate.
  • Assists student facing offices with special events and during peak registration periods
  • Responsible for assisting with outreach to returning students with uncovered direct costs

Tuition Benefit

After 1 year of continuous full-time service, employees are eligible to enroll in STU’s bachelor and master courses, tuition free. The program will cover a maximum timeframe of 125% of credit hours attempted toward the degree program. Employees may enroll in STU’s doctoral program, with a 40% tuition discount, under the same conditions.
