Jesus loves the little children, and so do we! Our Early Childhood Ministry develops and cares for the youngest members of our Grove family, sharing the love of Jesus with kids from newborn through Kindergarten-age. The Ministry Assistant gives hands-on guidance and leadership to weekend and midweek programs and services. This position also works closely with volunteers to shepherd them and tend to their spiritual care. This is a fantastic role for someone who loves kids and is passionate about ministry in the church!Â

Works:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Approximately 25 hours/week, Salary (weekends required)
WEEKEND AND MIDWEEK PROGRAMS — 80%
- Assist in creation of midweek and weekend curriculum.Â
- Teach various age levels for midweek and weekend services in small and large group settings.Â
- Assist in recruiting and training volunteers for weekend and midweek programs.Â
- Create age-appropriate environments for kids to experience God. Â
- Execute midweek and weekend program and activities.Â
- Ensure classrooms are prepared for volunteers.
OTHER MINISTRY — 20%
- Cultivate intimacy with God and growth in Christ-like character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.Â
- Participate in planning and executing specific areas of Summer Splash and other special events. Â
- Build relationships with volunteers and families to encourage spiritual growth.
- Attend Early Childhood leadership team meetings, church all-staÂff meetings, devotions, and trainings. Â
