The Global Outreach Pastor brings spiritual vision and oversight to a worldwide effort to communicate the gospel, build churches and disciple leaders. This position is responsible for leading and developing the global missions strategy at The Grove and provides spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and administrative oversight to our outreach initiatives, global partners, and short-term mission teams. The Global Outreach Pastor will be deeply passionate about God’s heart for all people, have strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to mobilize and inspire others to engage in ministry worldwide.

GLOBAL MISSION STRATEGY AND LEADERSHIP– 50%
- Provide vision and direction for The Grove’s Outreach efforts.
- Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate a comprehensive global missions strategy aligned with the church’s vision and values.
- Recruit and lead volunteers to assist with strategy, support, and mobilization for outreach.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with global partners, organizations, and church planters.
- Serve as the primary liaison and pastoral support for international mission/global partners.
- Oversee the Global Outreach budget and ensure effective stewardship of resources.
- Pray with and for The Grove’s Outreach teams and trek teams.
- Collaborate with church staff to integrate a global perspective into discipleship, prayer, and outreach ministries.
MOBILIZATION – 20%
- Develop, equip, and mobilize the church to serve internationally; Inspire and equip the congregation to understand and engage in global outreach through classes, events, and church wide initiatives.
- Oversee and support The Grove’s relationship with Launch Global and the global outreach pipeline program.
- Lead efforts to identify, train, and send short-term outreach teams.
- Coordinate global outreach updates and storytelling through church communications channels.
PASTORAL CARE AND OVERSIGHT– 20%
- Provide pastoral support and care for global partners and their families; work with the Global Partner Care team to ensure long-term health and sustainability for global partners.
- Cultivate relationships with Global Partners; determine needs and opportunities for The Grove’s involvement in their ministries.
OTHER MINISTRY – 10%
- Cultivate intimacy with God and growth in Christ-like character through personal and corporate spiritual disciplines.
- Participate in general ministry and initiatives; perform pastoral visits, discipleship, counseling, weddings and funerals.
- Attend team meetings, all-staff meetings, and devotions; lead staff devotions.
