CNC/Press Operator

Wayne Manufacturing is currently seeking a full-time CNC Operator for 2nd shift only, located in LaOtto, Indiana.

We are seeking candidates interested in joining our team in working together to deliver quality products and services to our customers while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment. 

2nd shift hours are from 3:30 pm-2:00 am.

Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • CNC experience preferred
  • Previous Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Press operation/set up experience preferred

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have the ability to learn how to accurately use and read measuring equipment such as rules, calipers, micrometers, and gages.   
  • Ability to comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as adding, subtraction, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment.
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing, active listening, and taking instructions.
  • Good leadership and training skills.
  • Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs.
  • Great time management.
  • Keen attention to detail to identify maintenance, product, or operations issues.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or be in other physically demanding positions for long periods.
  • Experience with CNC machinery is preferred.
