Dominican University of California is seeking to hire part-time adjunct professor(s) with expertise in science. The Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics invites applicants to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in both the biological and physical sciences. We are looking for outstanding lecturers who can teach small and large lecture courses, as well as seminars, discussions, and laboratory classes.
The number of positions varies from semester to semester depending on the needs of the department. Typically, positions start in August or January, with the possibility of renewal based on departmental needs, funding, and performance.
Potential teaching areas include anatomy, organismal biology, molecular biology, ecology, genetics, general chemistry, physiology, organic chemistry, public health, quantitative science, and some specialty areas of science. A PhD in biology, chemistry, kinesiology, public health, or a related scientific field is strongly recommended. However, an MS in one of these areas with relevant teaching experience will also be considered.
