Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development & Maintenance:
Develop, manage, and update comprehensive project schedules for multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring that all tasks, milestones, and deadlines are accurately reflected.
Coordination & Collaboration:
Work with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather input and ensure the project schedule reflects all necessary activities and resources. Facilitate coordination of schedules across all project teams.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
Track and monitor project progress, ensuring the timely completion of tasks. Provide regular schedule updates and status reports to project teams and stakeholders, highlighting any potential delays or risks.
Resource Allocation:
Ensure the optimal allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, based on the project schedule. Adjust resource allocations to meet shifting project needs.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution:
Identify and mitigate risks related to scheduling conflicts or delays. Proactively address potential issues, working with teams to implement corrective actions and keep the project on schedule.
Document Control & Recordkeeping:
Maintain accurate records of all scheduling-related activities, including changes, updates, and decisions. Ensure that schedule documentation is up-to-date and properly stored for future reference.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure that the construction schedule complies with all safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations. Monitor project quality and safety standards to prevent delays due to safety or quality issues.
Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to update them on project timelines and milestones. Provide timely notifications of any schedule changes or adjustments.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a scheduler in commercial construction or related field. Experience with large-scale commercial construction projects is highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6 preferred, Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar).Strong understanding of construction project processes, timeline management, and resource allocation.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders. Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and identify scheduling problems, risks, and delays, offering viable solutions to keep projects on track.
The Location
Roncelli is headquarters in Sterling Heights, Michigan. This position will be hybrid between our main office and jobsites through the State of Michigan.
