Superintendent (K-12), Sandusky, OH

Roncelli, Inc. is seeking a full-time Superintendent with a minimum of eight (8) years of commercial construction experience. This role is responsible for overseeing all field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, with the highest level of quality, and in full compliance with project documents. Previous experience managing K-12 construction projects is required.

The Location

Roncelli’s headquarters is based in Sterling Heights, Michigan, while this position will be based primarily in Sandusky, Ohio. Candidates must be able to travel to Michigan as needed. Initial onboarding will be held at our Sterling Heights headquarters during the first week of employment.

Responsibilities 

• Oversee all aspects of the construction project on-site.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and construction workers.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily logs, reports, and photographs.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of construction equipment and materials.

Experience and Qualifications 

• High School Diploma required. Bachelor degree in a construction related field or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
• Substantial experience managing educational facility or K-12 construction.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• Individual must be highly skilled in construction document comprehension.
• Proficient in construction means & methods, sequencing of work and the ability to manage to and update detailed construction schedules. 
• Strong computer skills are required. 
• A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to pass a background check

Work Environment 

This position is primarily field-based, with work performed on active construction sites. Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and other elements typical of construction environments should be expected. The role requires regular walking, standing, climbing, and lifting of materials or equipment as needed to oversee site activities. Occasional office work is required for scheduling, reporting, and coordination meetings.
