Job Purpose:
The Web Content Specialist plays a key role in shaping the user experience across our digital platforms by creating, managing, and optimizing web content that is engaging, accessible, and strategically aligned with business goals. With a strong focus on UX best practices, this role works cross-functionally with web developers, designers, marketers, and business stakeholders to ensure website content is clear, compelling, and designed with the user in mind.
This individual is responsible for executing and continuously improving content strategy through data-driven decision-making and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate has a mix of creative and technical skills, strong SEO knowledge, and an understanding of content management systems and web analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation, Management & Optimization
- Publish and manage content updates across websites to ensure accuracy, clarity, and brand consistency
- Write, format, and structure content to enhance usability, readability, and accessibility
- Use reporting tools to identify content gaps and opportunities based on UX metrics and user behavior
- Ensure content supports SEO and conversion goals, applying current best practices
- Align content with design and development teams to enhance layout and visual experience.
- User Experience (UX) & Accessibility
- Evaluate and improve site content for usability and user journey alignment
- Collaborate with UX designers and developers to implement enhancements based on user testing and feedback
- Ensure content meets ADA, WCAG, and other web accessibility standards
- Test and optimize content for performance across browsers, devices, and user flows
- Analytics & Performance Improvement
- Use tools like GA4, PageSense, and Search Console to monitor content performance
- Leverage A/B testing and UX data to refine content for engagement and conversion
- Report on KPIs related to bounce rate, time on page, CTR, and user behavior to inform strategy
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, product, and technical teams to align content with broader campaign and business objectives
- Participate in content strategy sessions and planning meetings
- Support web development initiatives by supplying optimized content aligned with new features or redesigns.
Perform all other duties as assigned to meet team's objectives and ensure business operational efficiency.
