Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Pricing and Inventory Manager to lead the strategy, development, and execution of pricing and inventory management for our global portfolio of vacation products. This role will focus on maximizing sales conversion and profitability by ensuring our products are competitively priced and adequately stocked across our key source markets: the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and more.
The Pricing and Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing competitive research, recommending and implementing pricing changes, monitoring results, and optimizing partner relationships. Additionally, this role will manage our buying program for hotels, activities, and other limited-availability services, ensuring sufficient inventory while strategically shifting business toward partners and services that drive the highest profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pricing Strategy & Optimization
- Develop, manage, and execute pricing strategies across all source markets to maximize conversion and profit.
- Conduct and oversee ongoing competitive research using market research tools to determine optimal pricing by region.
- Present pricing recommendations and secure alignment with leadership, then implement approved changes.
- Continuously monitor pricing outcomes and adjust strategies to ensure growth in sales and profitability.
- Inventory Management
- Oversee hotel, activity, and partner buying programs to secure sufficient inventory, especially for limited-availability services.
- Implement systems and processes to forecast demand and ensure product availability.
- Manage allocation strategies that balance sales opportunities with profitability.
- Supplier & Partner Optimization
- Strengthen relationships with key partners to secure favorable terms and priority access.
- Develop and execute strategies to shift demand to higher-margin partners and services.
- Negotiate rates, availability, and allocations to maximize value and profitability.
- Performance Measurement
- Track, analyze, and report on the performance of pricing and inventory strategies, ensuring KPIs related to conversion, profit, and utilization are achieved.
- Use data and insights to make proactive adjustments and inform leadership decision-making.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment between pricing, inventory availability, and sales strategies.
- Partner with finance and analytics teams to measure the impact of pricing decisions and ensure profitability goals are met.
