The Team Lead oversees a team of product assemblers providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure successful completion of projects and tasks. While acting as the primary point of contact for team members to achieve organizational goals; key responsibilities include delegating work, monitoring progress, coaching team members, and resolving conflicts to maintain a productive work environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor the activities of production personnel.
- Maintains a strong knowledge of work standards, procedures, and work instructions.
- Assigns and creates daily priority production/inspection decisions.
- Assists engineers/specialists with daily production problems.
- Keeps records of daily production activity.
- Is able to interoperate production activity in the company's production, supply, and quality monitoring systems.
- Processes, inspects, brands, packages, and ships finished products.
- Keeps an updated and accurate production schedule.
- Involved in weekly and monthly production meetings.
- Able to make production decisions accepting or rejecting parts.
- Maintains an excellent rapport with fellow workers.
- Lead person in annual inventory.
- Monitors and works with purchasing to ensure parts are available on time.
- Is able to solder and assemble product assemblies.
- Trains personnel and operate production equipment.
- Maintain accurate records (travelers, test reports, etc…)
