 Position Summary:  

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is an internal customer-facing role supporting PSI’s employees and managers. The focus is on fostering effective employee relations and delivering robust policies, practices, and solutions to optimize employee engagement, further the business’s success, and ensure compliance with employment law and regulations. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact in the application of compensation management principles, guidelines, procedures, and best practices.

 Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and counsel to leaders and managers on issues pertaining to performance management, employee relations, learning and development, and other strategic and tactical support 
  • Respond to, investigate, and support the effective resolution of employee concerns and incidents, ensuring fair and consistent application of HR policies and practices 
  • Act as a primary point of contact and consultation for HR and hiring managers, on job classification/ reclassification and associated compensation issues
  • Assist and collaborate with planning, coordination, facilitation, administration, and reporting of the annual salary review program
  • Provide training and guidance to HR in the day-to-day application of compensation programs, policies, and procedures
  • Research and analyze competitive compensation practices in the job market
  • Contribute to established compensation surveys and/or develop and implement custom surveys
  • Act as the voice of the employee, directly building relationships with employees across functional areas as well as identifying and implementing new channels for engagement (Town Halls, focus groups, Intranet, etc.), and generally being a visible representative of the human resources team and leadership across the entire employee population 
  • Support the development of new and evolving initiatives by the HR team by analyzing activity, trends, and data, and developing recommendations for solutions 
  • Actively coach, train, and develop hourly and salaried managers and employees through new program launches to project implementation and review 
  • Implement and administer programs and initiatives to support employee engagement and development, including compliance training, employee recognition, and employee appreciation 
  • Perform all duties following safety standards, ensuring work areas are kept clean and free of hazards 
  • All other duties as assigned by management 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; may substitute degree for directly applicable work experience on a year-for-year basis, which has built competencies and subject matter expertise 
  • Highly effective communication skills, especially in de-escalating charged situations and clearly describing HR policies and practices both verbally and in writing 
  • Subject matter expertise in best practices, employment laws, and regulations impacting HR, especially those impacting employee relations 
  • Ability to devise, design, and implement customized compensation surveys
  • Knowledge of compensation administration principles and procedures, as well as of federal and state wage and salary laws and regulations
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel 
  • Ability to maintain and report confidential information in an appropriate manner 

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • SHRM-CP or PHR certifications 
  • Process management experience in employee relations, operations, and associated reporting 
  • Experience in LEAN manufacturing setting 
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment 
  • Paycom HRIS experience 
  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment 
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
