  • Compensation: Starting wage $26.00 - $26.39, adjusted based on experience

Job Summary:

The Lift Maintenance Technical Administrator will provide direct support to lift maintenance management along with assistance to maintenance technicians as necessary. This is a skilled position that requires prior experience in the preventive maintenance field to provide both technical and administrative support. The technical administrator will primarily be responsible for the development and oversight of maintenance systems and workflow processes, along with administrative and hands-on support of maintenance technicians.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Assist all hourly staff with time-keeping needs. Maintain up-to-date records of employee's times and provide hours reports to management on a weekly basis
  • Forecast department wage spending with a two-week outlook. Provide overtime forecasts to management on a weekly basis
  • Analyze actual wages and report back to management on anomalies to forecast
  • Maintain, organize, and ensure the completion of all records within the Lift Maintenance Department. This includes but is not limited to all safety documentation, training documentation, preventative maintenance, and work order systems
  • Oversee and process all necessary purchasing for the Lift Maintenance Department. This involves the ability to research in-house documentation and the ability to understand and interpret technical data
  • Aid Killington purchasing agents in routine inventory audits, processes, and the overall inventory management system
  • Maintain the Lift Maintenance Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). This involves continued development, periodic audits of work completion, accuracy of content, and overall functionality
  • Provide and assist staff with technical expertise as necessary
  • Audit manufacturer manuals and service bulletins to ensure accuracy within our preventative maintenance schedules
  • Audit and implementation of Lift Maintenance training documentation, SOP’s and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
  • Assist in the ongoing development of Lift Maintenance training practices
  • Implement special projects at the discretion of Lift Maintenance Management
  • Assist technicians in maintaining all lift equipment to ensure safe operation as per in-house SOP’s and ANSI B77.1 Passenger Tramway Code
  • Perform the role of a Lift Maintenance Technician in a coverage role as necessary
  • Maintain mandatory records for all staff currently working in the Vermont State Tramway and Electrical Apprenticeship programs
  • Promote and adhere to all safety requirements as set forth by in-house SOP’s and OSHA
  • Always provide superior service to our customers. Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical knowledge a must
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. frequently and up to 100lbs. occasionally
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
  • Technical writing skills
  • Ability to adjust from an office environment to working outdoors for extended periods of time in all weather conditions
  • Knowledge of ski lift operations and controls. Can be offset with other trade specific expertise
  • Must be able to bend, squat, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level frequently
  • Must be able to use hands for grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation in repair of machinery
  • Ability to climb and work at heights of up to 100 feet comfortably
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work assignments
  • Ability to commit to working weekends and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal communication and guest service skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an ever-changing environment

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Can be offset by other education with industry knowledge
  • Familiarity with snowmobiles, ATV/UTV, and heavy equipment safety preferred
  • Familiarity with proper climbing techniques, fall protection equipment, and work positioning preferred
