Billing Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Billing Clerk. In this role, you will be responsible for managing billing processes for various programs. Additionally, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts receivable operations.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of Position:

• Review and submit billing weekly to the Billing Department, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Conduct research on denied or pending claims, ability to take necessary actions to resolve discrepancies and ensure claims are processed correctly.
• Reconcile all remittance reports weekly, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Complete and submit paper billing when required, following established procedures and guidelines.
• Review and verify batches of checks run by the Accounts Payable department, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
• Act as a point of contact for programs regarding any issues or questions related to billing reports, providing timely and accurate assistance as needed.
• Follow-up with Case planners/ supervisors for outstanding movements/documentation
• Assist in banking preparation for Agency Daily operations, ensuring proper handling of financial transactions and documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to billing software systems efficiently.

Qualifications
You are a good fit if you have:

• Certification or training in ACS billing systems processes is a plus.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in billing operations.
• Experience in training and providing support to team members on billing system usage and processes.
• Experience with billing systems such as Asara is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with billing regulations and requirements, including documentation and submission procedures.
• Proactive attitude towards staying updated on changes and updates in billing software.Proficiency in MS Excel, SharePoint, and other relevant software applications.
• Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or related financial roles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate reports from billing systems.
• Strong understanding of billing processes and procedures, including knowledge of insurance billing regulations
