This position is responsible for the development of National Accounts and National Sales Opportunities for the company. National Accounts and Opportunities are defined as having existing or potential packaging sales of $3 million or more annually with locations in 2 or more Premier Packaging Divisions.
National Sales development entails the solicitation and direct pursuit of National Accounts. A National Sales Representative will use all skill sets and available means to drive business relationships and create new sales opportunities within Corporate America leveraging the company’s strengths, bandwidth, and capabilities. The National Sales team will provide support and guidance to local reps, managers, and Divisions to grow National sales opportunities for the company.
Essential Functions:
Sales
• Direct solicitation of National Sales opportunities for Premier
• Perform the Premier selling process – F (Find). A (Acquire).M (Maintain). E (Expand).
• Leverage current National business relationships to expand to new client opportunities
• Utilize Premier’s sales approach, marketing tools, and Premier’s top solutions, to position Premier “the right way” with National business
• Create, provide, and present an annual National Sales growth strategy plan with detailed projections each year for the Sales leadership
• Update Salesforce CRM regularly with National Sales activity for view by management and the broader Sales organization
• Conduct regular meetings with Sales leadership to update on activity and National Sales growth strategy
• Ensure timely and appropriate Business Reviews are held with National Accounts for continuous improvement, growth, and progression
Support
• Support Premier’s local and regional sales teams on National Sales opportunities
• Make Sales calls with local reps to assist them in expansion of local opportunities with National potential
• Work with Premier’ CFT (Customer Focused Team) on best-in-class Customer management and support
• Assist Marketing in building the right National Sales presentations, tools, and collateral to best present Premier
• Collaborate with Sourcing and Manufacturing leadership on the development of key solutions and industry needs
• Provide Sales Management with regular updates with competitive trends in the marketplace
• Help train and guide local reps and reps on Premier’s National programs and expansive solutions
Requirements
• B.S./B.A. preferred
• 5-10 years’ Sales and Business Development experience
• Strong work ethic and background
• Must have a high sense of urgency while managing multiple projects
• High problem-solving aptitude
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
• Excellent oral/written communication skills, excellent customer relation skills, and well-developed presentation skills
• Regular business travel required
