Job Summary: As a Dialysis Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will play a vital role in providing safe, high-quality care to patients with kidney disease while working closely with registered nurses and nephrology staff. Primary Job Duties/ Essential Functions:
· Prepare dialysis equipment and treatment area before patient arrival
· Perform pre- and post-treatment assessments (vitals, weight, access checks)
· Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments safely under RN supervision
· Monitor patients throughout treatment and respond to concerns promptly
· Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
· Clean and disinfect equipment and treatment stations
· Ensure patient comfort and dignity at all times
· Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines (CMS, OSHA)
· Collaborate with the healthcare team to support quality outcomes
