Classroom Aide/School Age Driver- Professional driving experience preferred, but willing to train the right person. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be willing and able to drive a 14-passenger minibus and a 6-passenger minivan. No CDL is required. Must be 21 years of age to drive Horizon vehicles. You will be trained to safely transport children to and from local schools and/or field trips in the summer. It is a combination of working in the classroom, monitoring children on field trips and driving the minibus.

Pay rate is $16.25 per hour. 

Hours are 7am-9:30am and 2pm - 6pm Monday though Friday. Fulltime hours during the summer months to help take children on field trips. More information will be given during the screening process!   

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • MUST be 21 years of age and have a current license with a clean driving record (no more than 4 points) to drive Horizon, training provided 

  • Some training, experience, and/or interest in child development preferred 

  • Willingness to update job knowledge with required training, DCY licensing rules and SUTQ professional development opportunities, and industry trends

  • We seek someone who is prompt and reliable and who possesses a genuine love of children 

  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs. as required 

  • Must be able to pass background checks and physical/ medical screening as required
