Description

Responsible for executing the daily operations of the Trust Department.  Tasked with implementing and administering all policies and procedures within Trust Department.  Assist with the development of sales strategies to attract new trust clients and expand existing trust relationships.  Engage with Bank Trust clients and administer trusts in accordance with trust directives.  Participate as a member of the Trust Committee

Essential Functions: 

  • Daily follow up with trust customers via phone or in person
  • Monitor account activity and portfolio mix to ensure the client’s established investment guidelines are consistently met.
  • Develop sales strategies and relationships to attract new trust clients and expand existing trust relationships.
  • Process buy and sells of investments.
  • Educate and advise new trust accounts on their options.
  • Review and advise on changes for new trust agreements for clients.
  • Member of Trust Committee
  • Attend monthly Trust Investment Committee and Asset Review Committee meetings.
  • Inspect property held by a trust.
  • Prepare for and attend court proceedings.
  • Coordinate transactions and/or negotiations between trust customers and beneficiaries.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to trust staff.
  • Oversee internal controls for FDCIA in the Trust department.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Trust employee benefits experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated sales skills.
  • Excellent management skills.
  • Three years of experience within the financial services industry required.

 

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or law preferred.
  • Three plus years working in Personal Trusts preferred but not require

Status/Standard Schedule: 

Salary position.  Schedule 40+ hours/week Monday through Friday and any additional hours needed for department needs.
