Recovery Network of Programs, Inc. (RNP), is a private, non-profit, social service agency which has been serving the Greater Bridgeport Community and Fairfield County area since 1972. RNP is dedicated to helping those living with substance use, mental health disorders, and homelessness. Our mission is to restore hope, health, and wellbeing for individuals and families in a recovery environment that embraces compassion, dignity, and respect.

 

The Center for Human Services (CHS) located in Stratford, Connecticut is a CARF accredited, Department of Public Health licensed, medication-assisted treatment program for opiate addicted persons utilizing prescribed methadone or buprenorphine/suboxone, and supportive counseling in conjunction with other support and referral services. The persons served attend individual counseling to address drug use/abuse, personal/family, employment, health, and legal issues. Group and family counseling, in addition to intensive outpatient services are offered to those who voluntarily seek additional support. Clients at CHS also have access to psychiatric care.

 

Hours:  Monday -Friday 7 am-3 pm;  Saturdays as needed for coverage 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

  • Oversees the daily operations of the NSR program.
  • Provides administrative and clinical supervision of the Release Coordinators, Counselors, and other clinical support providers who deliver MAT services to clients.
  • Maintains positive relationships with DOC staff to ensure collaboration between agencies.
  • Leads regular team meetings with RNP and DOC staff.
  • Builds relationships with community providers to ensure clients and their families receive access to timely, high quality care and services.
  • Ensures a high connect to care rate for clients transitioning out of DOC and back into the community and oversees the referrals of clients to appropriate medical, psychiatric, housing and/or behavioral health services utilizing designated collaborating organizations (DCOs) whenever possible to ensure rapid entrance into programs without delay.
  • Oversees the delivery of therapeutic treatment using approve methods of planning, counseling, case management and crisis intervention to assist clients in overcoming substance use disorders and other co-occurring behavioral health issues.
  • Consults with the Medical and Psychiatric providers or other specialists concerning treatment planning.
  • Ensures that accurate and timely HIPAA protected reporting is provided to RNP’s internal departments and to appropriate DOC departments.
  • Assumes all other appropriate duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid CT driver’s license required.
  • Knowledge and experience working within the Criminal Justice system is required.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques of counseling. 
  • Strong and clear communication skills.
  • Ability to create accurate and clear reports.
  • Knowledge of the physical, psychological, social and economic effects of substance use, homelessness, medical and mental health issues.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
  • Ability to project a professional image at all times.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s Degree in the behavioral health sciences.
  • CAC/LADC or other applicable License required 
  • Minimum of two years experience in a similar role
