SUMMARY:
Recovery Network of Programs is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a per diem capacity, providing medical services within RNP and the Department of Correction at Garner CI and BCC. This role supports our commitment to high-quality care and continuity for individuals receiving substance use disorder treatment in correctional settings. In accordance with RNP's Mission Statement, Philosophy of Client Care and Code of Ethics as stated in the Personnel Policies and under the supervision of Director of Nursing.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties are subject to accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Patient Care and Assessment
- Monitor and document clients’ responses to methadone and suboxone treatment and any side effects or complications.
- Administer methadone and suboxone doses in accordance with clinic protocols and ensure accurate dosage and timing.
Medication Management
- Prepare and dispense methadone and other prescribed medications.
- Monitor clients for signs of medication misuse or adverse reactions.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration and client progress.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for each client
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinic documentation requirements.
- Report any significant changes in clients’ health status or treatment response to the appropriate supervisor.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing methadone treatment and opioid addiction.
Professional Development
- Stay current with best practices, trends, and regulations in addiction treatment and nursing.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities related to methadone treatment and addiction recovery.
