Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational attainment;
- 3 or more years of experience in event management, nonprofit fundraising, or related field;
- Experience with volunteer management;
- Experience in a school or educational setting, preferred; and
- Familiarity with the Chicago landscape of private event venues and vendors.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Organized self-starter, with impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities;
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment and effectively pivot from one task to the next on a frequent basis;
- Ability to manage projects with several variables, set realistic deadlines, manage a timeline, and ensure accountability;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Collaborative work style with a focus on providing exceptional service across multiple constituencies;
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills; and
- Computer proficiency including familiarity working with project management tools and Google Office Suites.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer;
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends; and
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30lbs.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000, not including an outstanding insurance and benefits package.
