Education & Knowledge
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain within two weeks
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation required
Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Ability to work with and coordinate volunteers
- Strong organizational, record keeping, time management and multi-tasking skills including the ability to set priorities and be flexible to last-minute changes
- Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate with diverse populations including minority, low income and persons with disabilities
- Ability to repetitively move 35lbs; routinely moves cooler and cooler bags from one location to another and from various heights in preparation of and for the completion of meal delivery; ability to ascend stairs and move around on city sidewalks
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new computer programs; experience with client data management systems a plus
Any satisfactory combination of experience, training and/or education which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above qualifications.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Fast paced, with significant people interaction
- Frequent driving throughout service area
- Frequent navigation of sidewalks, apartment buildings and stairways
- May be required to move up to 50lbs, 35lbs repetitively and ability to frequently position self to stoop, bend and crouch
- Sitting for short periods of time and typing
- Dexterity of hands and fingers required for operation of general office equipment
- May be required to work evenings and weekends for special events
- Must pass pre-employment screening
