SUMMARY
The Kitchen Cleaner ("Limpiador/a de Cocina") position performs cleaning of the back-of-the-house Food & Beverage facilities and equipment to achieve the highest level of sanitation as prescribed by the Health Department and hotel standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Ensures an environment as free of contamination as possible with the concern for the health and welfare of our clientele and associates.
  • Cleans floors and walls of the kitchens and back-of-house Food & Beverage areas.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all work surfaces.
  • Places all soiled dishes, pots, and pans in the dishwashing area.
  • Washes and wipes ovens and stovetops.
  • Stocks cook lines with clean plates.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training. If no educational background, at least 1 year.
  • Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Current industry certifications required: Food Handlers Certification & RBS Certification
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
