SUMMARY
The Concierge (“Conserje") welcomes our guests with a warm and friendly smile. Proactively provides our guests with personal service and attention that exceeds their expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Conveys a favorable image of the organization by projecting a positive professional appearance and demeanor to our guests.
  • Pleasantly promotes the available amenities and facilities of our hotel and assists the guest in making reservations for those amenities.
  • Answers inquiries, offer (s) suggestions, and provides assistance with transportation, restaurant reservations, and local activities.
  • Schedules and manages hotel courtesy car transportation for our guests. 
  • Provides assistance with business center services such as copying, printing documents, and mailing packages for our guests. 
  • Plays a key role in ensuring that our guest needs are met in a timely manner by interacting and communicating closely with other departments in the hotel.
  • Provides a safe and secure environment for both our guests and colleagues by knowing and assisting in safety and emergency procedures.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience and/or training.
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Previous similar position in a hotel, preferably in a luxury hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
  • Knowledge of the surrounding area, restaurants, and attractions. 
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
