SUMMARY

Assist with Human Resources programs and activities including supporting payroll and benefits functions, personnel information, .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Human Resources

  • Assist with the administration of HRIS system.
  • Maintain and update confidential personnel data in HR software and permanent records. 
  • Interpret, explain, and answer questions related to employment related policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and respond to the HR Support email
  • Administer the Drug Screen program and ensure employee census up to date each month. 
  • Assist with interview meeting setups, travel assistance, and new hire packets.
  • Conduct new employee orientations, including I-9 and E-Verify. 
  • Perform reference checks for new candidates.

Administrative

  • Submit employee badging confirmations to customers after background/ drug testing.
  • Support HR Director with immigration documents such as Visas and work authorizations for Canada and Mexico.
  • Create and submit tuition reimbursement for employees
  • Create Success Factors monthly reports to submit to Japan
  • Enroll new employees and set up credit cards in Concur
  • Support with Murata Machinery Ltd Assignee tax returns.
  • Assist with Wellness initiatives.
  • Be backup for training tracking
  • Serve as a backup to the receptionist.
  • Perform other administrative support duties

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; 2+ years of human resources support or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

***Bilingual English/ Spanish highly preferred**** Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to work with computer software as applicable to job responsibilities (Microsoft Office 365, Paycom, various vendor software for employee ).
