Job Description:
CES Power is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role will play a key part in the company's financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, assisting with financial reporting, and supporting general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare monthly journal entries.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes including variance analysis, reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and subledgers.
  • Support financial audits by preparing documentation and working with the audit team to complete requests.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support business operations.
  • Assist with improvement of dimensional accounting by Department, Branch, Class, Project etc.
  • Manage accuracy of the revenue recognition process and contribute to process improvements in the controls and efficiency of the Order-to-cash process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the efficiency of financial operations.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.

 

 

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA Preferred).
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP platforms).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in financial matters.
