In the role of a Housekeeper, you are responsible for performing cleaning duties, sanitary and ensuring the community is presented in a positive manner. The Resident Housekeeper will interact and provide excellent customer service to all community residents, guests, staff, and perform various other resident-focused tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follows established cleaning schedule.*
- Completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas.*
- Follows established schedule for "deep cleaning" of resident rooms.*
- Cleans administrative offices as scheduled.*
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.*
- Cleans carpets and mops all floors upon request.*
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.*
- Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.*
- Responds promptly and courteously to resident's, families, and visitors requests for assistance.*
- Speaks to/interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.*
- Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding.*
- Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates.*
- Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits.*
- Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.*
- Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.*
- Knows, understands and follows established policy and procedures in emergency situations.*
- Is considered essential personnel during emergencies and/or inclement weather. Is required to report or remain at community until released by supervisor.*
- Works as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments.*
- Always demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies and procedures.*
- Complies with attendance and call off policy.*
- Attends and/or participates in trainings, in-service and mandatory meetings.*
- Wears clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy.*
- Refrains from discussing resident issues with families and visitors and refers all inquiries to immediate nursing supervisor.*
- Knows, understands, and complies with HIPAA regulations.*
- Provides "hands-on" assistance when requested or needed by nursing staff while working in the community.
- Participates in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.
- Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
- Takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties willingly.
- Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested.
