Description

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assist in installing, configuring, and testing IT systems, including servers, hardware, and software upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure smooth and secure operations. Perform routine maintenance and patching of systems.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management and monitoring tools.
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Provide technical support for users and other IT staff. Consult with vendors and other IT personnel when needed for problem resolution.
  • Support IT projects aimed at improving infrastructure, including planning, execution and maintenance.
  • Track and report on system performance metrics to support capacity planning and continuous improvement.
  • Support and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS), including virtual servers, storage, and networking.
  • Support security initiatives such as patch management, vulnerability assessments, and compliance reporting.
  • Create and maintain system documentation including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Write and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Power Automate) to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
  • Assist in the design and documentation of infrastructure solutions and system architecture
  • Carry a cell phone and remain "on call".
  • Ability to travel between locations in the St. Louis area
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE

  • Minimum 3 years work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years supporting two or more of the following infrastructure technologies or services: VMWare, Windows OS (Desktop and Server), Zoom Telephone, Five9 Call Center, Cisco Unified Computing Systems, SQL, backup solutions, SAN/NAS, BCP/DR, Windows Active Directory, Entra ID.  
  • Experience working with infrastructure monitoring tools and systems
  • Experience with structured execution of projects.  
  • Knowledge and understanding of related infrastructure best practices.
  • Experience in and understanding of credit union information processing and practices is a plus.
  • Certifications such as Network+, CCNA, Security+, Azure Fundamentals a plus.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science/engineering preferred, or relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions:

  • Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period of time.
  • Occasional travel or moving from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building.
  • Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device.
  • Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment.
  • Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.
