SENIOR COMMERCIAL SUPERINTENDENT

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Commercial Roofing Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day on-sight control of all assigned commercial roofing projects, including but not limited, to safety of job-site, materials inventory control, scheduling daily activities on roof, budget management, and quality control inspections on a daily basis to ensure all aspects of project are completed per manufactures specifications. The Superintendents is also responsible for working closely with property owners or their representatives throughout the process to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Follow scope of work per signed contract, notify operations team immediately with issues
• Ensure all work that is contracted/subcontracted has complete documentation on each project to include all necessary signatures, scopes, and details
• Assist in obtaining building permits as required and follow all government guidelines for each permit and project
• Ensure all work completed per schedule and complete daily documentation on each project
• Adhere to all OSHA and Environment regulations
• Assist in all bidding needs such as site prep, lay-down areas, scheduling, etc. to get the most accurate bid possible
• Manage sub-contractors daily to verify that they are supplying adequate resources to meet contract requirements and schedules, report any changes immediately
• Maintain daily records of reporting such as daily reports, bidding reports, production reports, and any other reporting items that may be instructed by Roofing Director.
• Assists with the management of project resources in the most cost-effective manner and ensure they are on site at the appropriate time. Manage budget as scoped during estimating process.  Changes must be signed and approved prior to execution.
• Ensure all subcontractors are working under a subcontract agreement, no exceptions.
• Properly submit all invoices as necessary.  ALL materials are to be approved by SS to ensure cost are assigned properly.  All Labor invoices are to be verified by the Superintendent approved by Roofing Director
• Ensure project work meets the highest standards of workmanship based on manufactures guidelines.
• Adheres to all company policy and procedures on every project and aspect of daily activities.
• Properly update project schedules weekly.  Any changes to schedules must be reported by operations team immediately and documented for Production Reporting.
• Properly set up New Job Binders as required for each new job.
• Always provide the highest level of customer service 
• All other duties or projects as assigned

• Update progress weekly to completed percentages, change orders, material deliveries, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:                                       

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field experience preferred
• 3+ years commercial construction experience required
• Project management experience is a plus
• Computer skills in word and excel required.  Experience in Microsoft Schedule is a plus
• Must be able to travel in response to both emergency and non-emergency situations as necessary
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, internal and external contacts throughout the project management process.
• Speaking Spanish, a plus
• Must be able to read and understand manufactures specification guidelines.

INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS:

International Institute of Cleaning and Restoration Certifications (IICRC) is the main trade organization Jenkins Restoration follows. The IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT), IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) and the IICRC Commercial Drying Specialist (CDS) or IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certifications are required for this position as well as local and state required certifications.

       LANGUAGE SKILLS:                                                 

Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of organization.

COMPUTER SKILLS:                                          

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to “touch type” and have knowledge of Excel, database, Internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software. Knowledge of Xactimate, Sage, Procore and Sharepoint are also preferred competencies.
