Job Summary                                                                                                                                                                                  

We are looking for a Yard Manager with a background in running high end, organized, state-of-the-art farming, growing, and/or agricultural operations. If you can efficiently and effectively manage farm crews at multiple locations, with a large variety of trees and ornamentals, bring best practices, and enjoy team atmosphere and fast paced environment.

 Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                          

• Tractor operation experience
• Rigging experience
• Irrigation installation, repair, maintenance experience
• Plant ID knowledge
• Pesticide application, storage, safety, experience
• Must have managed employees before (we currently have 70 in yard and approx. 70 on trucks)
• Must be a good teacher and coach
• Must hold people accountable
• Maintain equipment, tools, and tractors
• Written and verbal communication
• Team work and team building
• Time and task management

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities                                                                                                                 

• 10 years growing experience
• Safety minded
• Basic computer skills
• Bilingual preferred
• Other duties as assigned

Education                                                                                                                                                                                          

HS diploma or equivalent

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
