Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Christmas Tree Lot Supervisor to oversee operations at one of our seasonal tree lots. This position plays a key role in ensuring a smooth, organized, and customer-focused operation during the busy holiday season.

The Christmas Tree Lot Supervisor will lead daily sales activities, manage seasonal staff, maintain tree quality and presentation, and ensure every guest receives the high level of service Moon Valley Nurseries is known for. This is a hands-on, seasonal position running through the end of the year, requiring flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced retail environment.

“This is a seasonal position.  The expected duration is date of hire through December 30, 2025.” 

 Key Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                                                                          

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned Christmas Tree Lot, including setup, merchandising, and closing.
• Lead and manage a team of seasonal associates, providing training, guidance, and daily direction.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by assisting guests in product selection, ensuring courteous and efficient service.
• Maintain tree quality, lot organization, signage, and visual presentation according to company standards.
• Manage cash handling, reconcile daily sales, and complete all required reporting accurately.
• Oversee inventory control, including receiving shipments, tracking stock, and restocking displays as needed.
• Ensure all safety, operational, and customer service procedures are followed consistently.
• Partner with regional leadership on staffing, scheduling, and sales performance goals

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities                                                                                                              

• 2+ years of retail, sales, or management experience; seasonal or outdoor sales experience preferred.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct seasonal staff.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors and perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings (up to 9 PM), weekends, and holidays throughout the season.

Education                                                                                                                                                                                                 

High school diploma or equivalent required.

 Physical requirements/Working Conditions                                                                                                                                   

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 15 pounds. Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.
