Senior Maintenance Technician

Overview

SCCI is seeking a skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team!  The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Surface Combat Systems engineering, including development, activation, lifetime maintenance support, configuration management, and tactical training. This role is critical for ensuring the operational readiness and longevity of combat systems. This position may require occasional travel and is in support of future work expected in 2026. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Provide corrective and preventive maintenance support for surface combat systems and training programs
• Provide maintenance for fire control systems, test systems, tactical computers and peripherals, mark cabinets, display equipment, commercial emulators, switching systems, switch controllers, fiber optic repair, site unique equipment, and auxiliary equipment
• Support threat development and real-world requirement updates and installation action plans for scenario development
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of combat systems

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance
• High School Diploma
• Eight (8) years of Surface Combat Systems engineering experience including development, activation, lifetime maintenance support, configuration management, and tactical training
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• In-depth understanding of Surface Combat Systems engineering principles
