AR/VR Developer III

Overview

SCCI has an exciting opportunity for an AR/VR Developer III to join our team! The successful candidate will focus on Computer Vision Engineering while supporting the Battle Management System (BMS) Tactical Visualization Team (TVT). The BMS team specializes in rapidly developing and deploying innovative technology solutions to empower our warfighters to outmatch the evolving threats.  In this Computer Vision role, you will support multiple Tactical Visualization project teams in developing functionality to analyze visual data.  This position is in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Working collaboratively with multiple technical teams to understand their requirements and challenges in developing computer vision capability
• Collaborating with technical teams on specifying, building, testing, and maintaining the computer vision functionality
• Working on multiple projects at once and managing priorities while communicating successes and challenges with the integrated technical team

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or field directly related to the position.
• Proficiency with Python, C# or C++
• Five (5) or more years of experience leveraging current Computer Vision concepts including:
  •  image processing
  • camera pose estimation
  • Structure-from Motion/Multi-View Stereo Reconstruction
  • Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM)/Visual SLAM (VSLAM)

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Direct hands-on experience training machine learning models through Python and standard frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras
• Familiarity with deployment of AI applications through systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
