SCCI is seeking a motivated Technical Writer I for a fast-paced developmental Weapon System Program. This position consists of the editing, finalization, and updating of Systems Engineering documents, Test Procedures, and User and Training Guides. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:
- Understand and relay technical information, such as system functionality, software troubleshooting, and interface designs through the development of engineering and user documentation for operational communities
- Learn the technical content of system upgrades and enhancements prior to delivery, including participating in software milestone meetings and obtaining information from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Provide quality assurance, formatting, and editorial updates to a variety of document types, including User and Training Guides, Installation and Test Procedures, Memorandums, System Specifications, and Interface Design Documents
- Work closely with Systems Engineers, Software Developers, and Test Personnel to ensure technical content and system upgrades are documented comprehensively and accurately, while adhering to Government formatting specifications
- Coordinate with document authors and team members in drafting, reviewing, and publishing technical documentation in support of software development projects
- Manage tasking efficiently and meet deliverable timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Play a key role in the Rapid Development Process (RDP) of program documentation, ensuring that required documents and revisions are provided with every software delivery and changes are tracked appropriately through an established Configuration Management (CM) process
- Maintain knowledge of system capabilities, enhancements, and functionality in advance of system delivery to end-users
