A Licensed HVAC Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role ensures optimal indoor climate control in primarily commercial, office, retail, and industrial settings, (minor residential work), while complying with safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including ductwork, thermostats, and refrigeration units
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions using specialized tools
- Perform routine maintenance such as filter changes, coil cleaning, and refrigerant checks
- Repair or replace defective components like compressors, motors, and valves
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and EPA regulations
- Maintain accurate service records and inventory of parts
- Respond to emergency repair calls and perform warranty services
- Collaborate with clients and contractors to assess HVAC needs and recommend solutions
