Join Our Team as an Occupational Therapist!

Are you a compassionate and motivated professional committed to helping children achieve independence and well-being? Childhelp is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Arizona Children’s Advocacy Center (AZ CAC) team. In this vital role, you’ll help children and families overcome barriers through therapeutic interventions that promote healing, growth, and lifelong skills.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy programs in accordance with each client’s treatment goals and IEP.
  • Assess, plan, and carry out treatment to improve fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with physicians, educators, and multidisciplinary team members to support client progress and program success.
  • Monitor and document client outcomes, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Provide family and caregiver training to support continued growth and independence at home.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold compliance with Childhelp policies and state regulations.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and supportive environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and uphold Childhelp’s mission and core values in every interaction.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

Education & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • Arizona State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist and AOTCB certification.
  • Minimum one year of experience providing occupational therapy services to children or adolescents.
  • Professional liability insurance and up-to-date on mandatory training and certifications.

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills — both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Experience working with emotionally or behaviorally challenged children in educational or therapeutic settings.
  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are a plus.
