Job Description

We are looking for dynamic and multitasking Clinical Technician to join our team. The responsibilities of this talented person include performing technical ophthalmologic duties, examining and performing special tests on patients.

 

Duties & Responsibilities: Report to Clinical Supervisor

  • Take medical histories of patients.
  • Help with preparation tasks.
  • Prepare patients for an eye exam with some standard testing and pre-evaluation responsibilities.
  • Perform diagnostic testing on patients.
  • Enter all patient information into the electronic record system.
  • Complete the number of daily tasks assigned efficiently and in a timely manner. 
  • Meet given expectations weekly and monthly.
  • Fit contact lenses as needed.
  • Dispense patient medications.
  • Assist with ophthalmic procedures.
  • Measure eye pressure and visual acuity.
  • Operate equipment and educate patients on how to take their eye medications.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, management, or any other related field with 1 year of experience.
  • Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience in the healthcare field is acceptable.
  • In lieu of a degree, specialized certifications such COA with at least 2 years of experience are acceptable. We are also ready to train the right person.
  • Ability to use properly our software systems.
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Advanced organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
