Job Title: Media Buyer 

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Hours: Full-Time. Monday–Thursday is 8am-5pm with the option to work from home on Tuesday. Friday is a work from home, half-day from 8am-12pm.

Salary: $52,000.00-$55,000.00 a year

Hurrdat is one of a kind. A media, marketing, and entertainment agency. 

We were founded in Lincoln, Nebraska as a small team of two in 2010, offering social media services to brands and athletes. After a decade of growth later we have grown to be a uniquely well-rounded marketing and advertising agency with in-house media, sports, entertainment, and film divisions. 

Mergers and acquisitions over the years (with B2 Interactive, Disconnected Media, Digital Hero Films, Victory Fighting Championship, Hail Varsity, and Parkville Media) have grown our team to over 150 people.  

We serve over 200 clients who collectively operate in 8 countries, including 43 states in the United States. Our clients range from local businesses just starting to build their brand and online presence to enterprise organizations. 

 

About the role: 

We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Media Buyer who specializes in Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising services, including traditional channels such as TV, radio, billboards, and Over-the-Top (OTT) media. This position reports directly to the Paid Acquisition Manager. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to): 

  • Plan, negotiate, and execute strategic media buys across traditional and OOH platforms including TV, radio, billboards, and OTT. 

  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand client goals and align media strategies with marketing objectives. 

  • Develop and manage media schedules, budgets, and performance reports. 

  • Analyze media performance data to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and optimize accordingly. 

  • Maintain relationships with media vendors and negotiate rates, placements, and added value opportunities. 

  • Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and media consumption habits. 

  • Prepare and present media plans and post-buy reports to clients and internal stakeholders. 

  • Ensure timely delivery of assets and coordinate with creative and production teams. 

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred. 

  • 3+ years of media buying experience with a strong focus on traditional and OOH channels. 

  • Strong knowledge of media planning and buying processes across TV, radio, billboard, and OTT platforms. 

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Familiarity with media buying tools and software.  

Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check. 

 

Working Conditions and Physical Effort: 

  • Work is normally performed in a typical office environment. 

  • Will lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds using safe and proper lifting methods.
