Description

Overall Responsibilities:
· Identify business news and trends relevant to readers.
· Assist with In Business’ real-time news coverage and write stories as
needed. 
In coordination with the editorial team, take ownership of several business topic areas for regular coverage online and in print.

· Produce two daily e-newsletters (morning and afternoon) featuring the top
stories of the day and create corresponding social media content

· Curate news sections for online editions
· Collaborate with editorial staff to ensure seamless and comprehensive
news coverage between digital, print, and social media


Specific Responsibilities:
· Monitor In Business’ editorial inbox for news items with the highest news
potential

· Cultivate and maintain regional news sources, leads, and story ideas
· Create coverage plan for daily news items.
· Post multiple daily Latest News items
· Edit and produce In Business’ two daily e-newsletters
· Select and edit news to be featured in the magazines’ print features
· Contribute to editorial content of magazines and special sections, as
assigned by editor-in-chief

· Assist at company events throughout the year
· Actively participates in the Great Game of Business  
· Other duties as assigned

Works well on high-volume daily deadline. Adheres to reporting ethics. Comfortable with social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, with the desire to explore new platforms. Skilled at managing time and competing priorities.

Knowledge: College degree in communications, journalism, or successful proven career track.
