Lift Operator I

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist skiers and snowboarders in safely loading and unloading ski lifts.
• Monitor and operate ski lift controls, ensuring smooth start and stop operations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of lift equipment and report any issues to management promptly.
• Maintain lift ramps and clear snow as needed to ensure smooth traffic flow.
• Ensure the work station is in compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and USFS regulations and requirements.
• Scan lift tickets or passes of riders to verify their access to the lift and direct guests when their passes are scanned invalid. 
• Provide outstanding guest service, answering any questions and resolving issues promptly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to stand outside for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects and shovel snow as needed.
• Ability to learn lift controls and operations for aerial and surface lifts.
• Ability to learn lift and ski area safety processes and procedures.
• Skill in basic machinery is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively, and professionally with guests and co-workers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment with constantly changing environmental conditions, including freezing temperatures, snow, wind, rain, and low visibility.
• Available to work on weekends and holidays.
