Multiple shifts available, 12 hour shifts every other weekend

 

Pierce County's only Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic: Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified and passionate Medical Assistant join our Adult Residents in Tacoma WA.

Function: Provide medical assistance to adults and children who suffer from mental health illnesses. Perform both clinical and administrative duties.  Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team serving clients with behavioral health needs
  • Within the scope of practice, administer and monitor psychotropic medications under the supervision as delegated by a licensed registered nurse.
  • Ensure follow-up on referrals and facilitate continuity of care.
  • Gather medical history information and vital signs as directed by a registered nurse or prescriber, support licensed nursing and medical staff with medication management as needed including oral and injectable medications as prescribed
  • Document all medication monitoring and self-medications in EHR program or hard copy Medication Administration Record (MAR) daily by end of shift.
  • Coordinate ordering and reporting of labs and lab results to prescribers.
  • Coordinate insurance services/ prior authorizations.
  • Coordinate community medical integrated healthcare services.
  • Provide psychoeducation groups related to healthcare and medication to consumers
  • Maintain medical records and provide reports in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Completion of accredited medical assistant program and WA State certification
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
