Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a Mental Health Professional to join our Outreach team in downtown Tacoma, Washington.

Scope

Provide mental health services working directly with clients in a clinical setting or in the community.  Provide outpatient services in the community, homeless shelters, or other service setting. Collaborate with team members to help meet clients individualized mental health needs. Work with partner agencies as needed to foster whole health support.

 

This is an outreach position with the expectation of working in the community a minimum of 50% of the time. Outreach workers must be able to meet clients where they are, which may include working in varying hazard/unsanitary conditions and being able to navigate a variety of terrain in all types of weather.

 

This position requires driving to and from locations where clients are located and may include driving clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Establish rapport, assess and diagnose mental health disorders for all assigned clients within scope of credential.
  • Develop and implement a whole person, collaborative treatment plan with client and other treatment team members (when relevant).
  • Provide individual, group, family therapy, and/or education therapy services as indicated by a client’s treatment needs.
  • Respond to clinical crises through assessment, intervention, safety planning and case consultation.
  • Document clinical work in a timely fashion and according to program standards, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries.
  • Attend treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and designated staff training and consultation sessions as assigned.
  • Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained by following all CLR policies and seeking regular consultation.
  • Actively participate in clinical supervision and training for continued professional growth.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social or behavioral sciences.
  • Strong understanding of DSM-V and proficient knowledge of therapeutic interventions
  • Proficiency in using Evidenced Based Practices (EBPs) such as CBT (especially CBT-P), ACT, and MI preferred
  • WA State credential/license.  Associate license/ license preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and working vehicle.
