Scope

The FHARPS SUDPT role involves providing substance use disorder assessments, treatment planning, counseling, and case management services under the supervision of an SUDP. The FHARPS SUDPT will work within established guidelines and regulatory requirements, contributing to the treatment and recovery process for individuals with substance use disorders. The role includes developing and implementing treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy, and collaborating with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive care. Provide support Forensic HARPS consumers in diverting from the court system using housing first and harm reduction models. This is an outreach position with the expectation of being out of the office a minimum of 50% of the time. FHARPs SUDPT supports clients with housing instabilities find, secure, and maintain adequate housing solutions. This position may need to provide life skills, transportation, and other services in various environments and locations within the community including jail and other inpatient settings.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide chemical dependency assessments and outpatient services for consumers seeking substance use treatment in the Reinvent Recovery program, under the supervision of an SUDP staff member.
  • Complete paperwork in a timely manner and maintain up-to-date records in compliance with WAC, Title XIX, and agency requirements.
  • Attend treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and designated staff training and client consultations.
  • Participate in SUDP consult/supervision groups to complete required supervision hours.
  • Ensure ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
  • Provide clinical case coordination within a multidisciplinary team for consumers.
  • Deliver case management services as outlined in consumer treatment plans.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions based on program needs.
  • Coordinate services with other program staff, consultants, relevant agencies, and individuals (e.g., DOC, hospitals, congregate care facilities).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Must have their SUDPT Washington State credential and the ability to acquire an Agency Affiliated Counselor Registration (AACR).
  • If the first 50 hours of SUDPT supervision are not completed, the expectation is to complete them within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
