Position Summary:
The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems across multiple trades within the facility. This position requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, proficiency in controls and automation systems, and EPA-certified HVAC experience. The technician will play a lead role in maintaining production uptime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting special projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on industrial equipment and infrastructure.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain PLCs, control panels, sensors, and other automation equipment.
- Perform HVAC diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility climate control systems, including RTUs and split systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and develop corrective action plans to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and control diagrams.
- Support plant operations by responding promptly to equipment failures or maintenance requests.
- Fabricate parts or structures when necessary using machine tools or welding equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and relocation projects.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules using CMMS software.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards.
- Mentor junior maintenance team members and assist with training on systems and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and safety teams to improve equipment performance and efficiency.
