Finance Director
THE POSITION:
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Director is a member of the organization’s executive team and the lead financial position in the organization. This position is responsible for all financial activity, including but not limited to: tracking cash flow, financial planning, analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing strategic direction.
The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, guiding its financial strategy, planning, and maintaining its fiscal stability to include collaboration with the executive management team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and auditing. Ensure that the financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the organization's short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the financial strategy of the organization. This includes long-term financial planning and forecasting, risk management, identifying areas for cost optimization, and investment strategies.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements. Ensure the timely reporting of key financial data and updates to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other key stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions. This includes tax planning and compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Leadership: Direct the finance and accounting team and ensure their ongoing professional development and training. Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
