EMMI Chamber Orchestra Conductor

The EMMI Chamber Orchestra will lead the orchestra in a cycle of concert music. If a player, the leader will also play within the orchestra. The leader will collaborate with the EMMI director to select repertoire, and adhere to school and class policies. 

Work Schedule: 

Rehearsals are twice weekly, Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:15-5pm. 

Concert at the end of the cycle. Additional hours may be added if deemed necessary by the leader and EMMI director

Essential Job Functions: 

• Lead effective orchestra rehearsals
• Determine appropriate repertoire
• Advise on fingerings and bowings 
• Adhere to class grading rubric and school policies
• Model professional work ethic and standards

Professional musician with experience on the stage and working with young people.

Physical Demands: Play and instrument or conduct from the podium
